Sítio Pedro Varinhas

Today Sítio Pedro Varinhas, a family farm, is run by
three brothers and their wives. Brothers Ercelei José de
Oliveira, Pedro Junior de Oliveira and Elcimar de Oliveira are
third-generation coffee producers.
Two of the brothers’ wives, both young adults, Angelica de
Fátima, Ercilei José’s wife, and Ângela
Maria da Costa, Pedro Junior’s wife, help with the harvest
and drying of the coffee produced on the farm.
As soon as the coffee arrives from the fields, it is first handled
on the farm in a shaker to remove leaves, sticks and stones and
soon after it is taken to a DCC/M huller with a capacity of 520
liters per hour in an artisan process that always prioritizes
high-quality production of each lot. The property is Fairtrade
certified through the COORPOL cooperative.
